Forecast fossil gas and hydrogen supply and demand in Europe 2030

In a scenario in which European countries pursue a policy of supporting low carbon fuels such as fossil hydrogen, imports of fossil gas are projected to increase. To cover a projected supply shortfall after the fallout of the Russia-Ukraine war, 303 billion cubic meters of fossil gas would have to be imported in 2030. The total demand for fossil gas in Europe in 2030 is forecast to reach 494 billion cubic meters that year.
