Ecology Field Study - Grassland, Dataset #2

The group divided in half (between working on transects and quadrads). This was the first field assignment we conducted. This occured at the grassland area on York University's Keele Campus. Using transects, we ventured into the grassy terrain, laid out the transect, and measured from the starting point of a particular plant species. Along the transect, we stopped to record measurements of flowers leaves, and how crowded the target plants were (on a scale of 0-3). Measurements were taken using a second transect, and were recorded in chart form. The study site was a relatively dense grassland containing varied grass and flower species.
