Eaton Fire AVIRIS-3 Char/Ash Fractional Cover Mapping

All rasters were created using the AVIRIS-3 L2A facility instrument collection (Brodrick et al., 2025). Spectral unmixing of AVIRIS-3 L2A data to estimate char/ash fractional cover was computed using the SpectralUnmixing.jl software (https://emit-sds.github.io/SpectralUnmixing.jl/). The three structure rasters include char/ash fraction clipped to the OpenStreetMap structure polygons. Structure polygon data was provided by OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL. See https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright for details. Generic_CAF_EatonFire.tif is a raster of char/ash fractional cover of the entire Eaton Fire AVIRIS-3 coverage obtained on 16 January 2025. The generic spectral library was used for unmixing. Generic_CAF_EatonFire_structures.tif is a raster of char/ash fractional cover of Eaton Fire AVIRIS-3 data obtained on 16 January 2025 for pixels within structures polygons (Data source: OpenStreetMap). The generic spectral library was used for unmixing. Localized_CAF_EatonFire_structures.tif is a raster of char/ash fractional cover of Eaton Fire AVIRIS-3 data obtained on 16 January 2025 for pixels within structures polygons (Data source: OpenStreetMap). The localized spectral library was used for unmixing. Generic_dCAF_EatonFire_structures.tif is a raster of differenced char/ash fractional cover for pixels within structures polygons (Data source: OpenStreetMap). The difference between char/ash fractional cover was computed using two AVIRIS-3 datasets obtained on 5 September 2024 and 16 January 2025. The generic spectral library was used for unmixing.
