Alluvial Ridge Evolution Model and Datasets from 12 Amazonian Meandering Rivers v1.0.0 This is the archive of observational and remotely sensed datasets for 12 Amazonian rivers and a MATLAB-based numerical model that simulates floodplain sedimentation, alluvial ridge development, and stratigraphic evolution. Features Provide geomorphic and hydrologic datasets for 12 freely meandering river reaches in the lowland Amazon Basin. Include multi-temporal channel centerlines, alluvial ridge morphologic measurements, and hydrologic observations. Simulate overbank flooding, floodplain sedimentation, alluvial growth, consolidation, and channel migration impacts using MATLAB. Generate stratigraphic stacking and avulsion setups (e.g., superelevation and gradient adventage) based on model outputs.
