one-time sampling ################ The dataset comprises 1308 beetle species and 103,714 specimens collected with flight interception traps and pitfall traps on 234 patches in the BETA-FOR project. Each patch was sampled in one year. All determinations were made by Alexander Szallies and Boris Büche. Colour values, body size, feeding strategy and dependency on deadwood were extracted from Literature (Böhme, J. 2005: Die Käfer Mitteleuropas, Band K: Katalog.
