We used collective cancer cell invasion, the process by which cohesive groups of cells invade into the adjacent stroma while maintaining cell cell contacts, as a model system to deconstruct cellular processes underlying non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) subpopulation cooperation. We engineered a novel molecular approach that integrates cell surface and metabolic characteristics to profile transcriptomic signatures across subpopulations in normoxia (21%) and hypoxia(1%) conditions.
