Data from paper "Individual Pay for Collective Performance: Evidence from Deforestation in Brazil"

The raw data employed in the analysis are drawn from publicly available sources, all of which are described and linked in the paper "Individual Pay for Collective Performance: Evidence from Deforestation in Brazil." We provide here the final datasets at the Prioritry Area level used for the main results reported in the paper: bv_zone.dta and bv_CAR.dta. bv_zone.dta contains the zone-level data used in the main analysis. bv_CAR.dta contains the property-level data drawn from the Rural Environmental Registry (Cadastro Ambiental Rural, CAR). The household-level income data from the Cadastro Único registry used in the paper cannot be shared due to confidentiality restrictions.
