资源简介:
This dataset depicts approved acquisition boundary information for National Wildlife Refuges located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and California (Region 1 mainland states). The primary source for boundary information is the USFWS Realty and Refuge Planning programs. The intended application of the data is to serve as a resource grade spatial reference of refuge locations and distributions as well as identifing the extent of lands authorized for acquisition by the Fish and Wildlife Service. It is specifically not intended to be used as a representation of land ownership, land survey, land conveyance, or for tax purposes. The boundaries included in this dataset depict approved acquisition boundaries. Approved acquisition boundaries represent the extent of lands authorized for purchase by the Fish and Wildlife Service for inclusion into the National Wildlife Refuge System. This dataset includes, but, does not specifically identify lands currently managed by the Fish and Wildlife Service. Private lands, as well as state and local government lands are included inside many of the boundaries. Land ownership data is availiable for many of the refuges. Contact the R1 Division of Refuge Planning for details. These boundaries were derived from various sources which were 1:24000 or larger in scale. For more detailed information regarding source and lineage of individual boundaries, contact the R1 Division of Refuge Planning for more information. Unattributed polygons, as a rule, represent lands excluded from acquisition.
