Morphometrics of Dermatemys mawii breeders – data labeled in Spanish

We present a morphometric dataset of reproductive individuals of the freshwater turtle Dermatemys mawii, a threatened species. These specimens are the founders of three farms dedicated to captive breeding of this species in Mexico. The dataset includes standard body measurements (such as carapace length and width, height, weight, among others) obtained from the breeders at the start of the management program. All variable labels are in Spanish, facilitating their use in local and regional contexts. This dataset is useful for conservation biology studies, genetic management of founder populations, and captive growth assessments.
