Fecundity and fertility impacts of Rickettsia symbiont infection in the bed bug Cimex lectularius

Crosses were undertaken between male and female bedbugs of differing Rickettsia infection status. The fecundity of the females (#fertile eggs laid) and their fertility rate (#fertile eggs/total) was then recorded until the female stopped laying fertile eggs.
