Magnetic and LA-ICP-MS data for magnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles in the brain connected to alcohol-associated liver disease

This dataset belongs to the paper: Kaub, L. et al. Magnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles in the brain connected to alcohol-associated liver disease. Scientific Reports (submitted).Two types of data were collected: (i) magnetic data from a SQUID magnetometer and (ii) isotope data from Laser Ablation – Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS).(i) Magnetic data can be found in the Excel file (magnetic_data.xlsx). The file contains magnetic moments of natural remanent magnetization (NRM) and saturated isothermal remanent magnetization (SIRM) of all samples presented in our study. Additional information about the samples is also included. Repeated measurements that were conducted to find a baseline level of the magnetic moment measurements can be found in the sheet named "double_measurements".(ii) LA-ICP-MS data are split into four files, each containing data of one of the four cases (case ID is given in file name). The files were produced with Laser Ablation App 1.0 (see Methods section in the paper) and contain signals from all four isotopes that were investigated (Fe56, Fe57, Cu63, Mn55) over two-dimensional surfaces defined by x.coord and y.coord.
