资源简介:
Data were collected between March and June 2022 at a National Cancer Institute (NCI)–Designated Cancer Center in Southern California through an online survey. The intent of the cross-sectional study was to assess cannabis-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors among cancer survivors as well as their individual cancer experiences and related symptoms. A total of 5901 patients were invited to participate in the study, and 954 (16.2%) provided responses. After participants were excluded, a final unweighted study population of 677 respondents were analyzed. A third-party company weighted the final analytic responses to ensure that the sample was representative of the cancer center’s patient population. The weighted sample size was 4807, representing the target population. We hypothesized that the likelihood of consideration of cannabis use would be greater among those with advanced cancer stage at diagnosis (ie, stages III/IV) compared with those with non-advanced stage cancer (ie, stages I/II), given the higher symptom burden associated with advanced cancer stage.
