Prey kill records for lions in the Kruger National Park summarized by year and region 1936-1996

These annually summarized data are derived from the carcass records of animals found dead submitted by section rangers in the Kruger National Park. Those prior to 1966 were extracted from Pienaar (1969). Data for subsequent years were extracted from the detailed records held by the Scientific Services Division of SANParks. Records for 1986 were missing.
