GUILHERME GLÜCK: THE COLLECTION, THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND THE EDUCATION (1920-1950)

Abstract The existence of photographic collections dating from the first half of the twentieth century makes it possible to study relevant cultural aspects of those societies. This is the case of the Guilherme Glück Collection, which belongs to the Museum of Image and Sound of Paraná. Within the more than 33,000 photographs, are a few dozen images relating to education in the city of Lapa between 1920-1950, that give us the ideals of the school and teachers at that time, as well as those who lived inside the St. Vincent of Paul primary school, away from the urban dynamics of the city. This paper seeks to understand the trajectory of the photographer Glück and how he registered the education in this city of Paraná, that had its origin during the drover's period in the south of Brazil.
