Hyaloperonospora parasitica strain:BJ2020 Genome sequencing and assembly

Downy mildew caused by Hyaloperonospora parasitica is one of the most significant disease of Brassica Crops, which brought a lot of economic losses around the world.The outbreak of downy mildew can causes over 75% seedings death and more than 50% yield lost every year. But until now there are few genome researches on the pathogen of Brassicaceae downy mildew, and only three genonme sequences of Hyaloperonospora arabidopsis and two of Hyaloperonospora brassicae had been reported.Here, we first sequencing and assemble the draft genome of the Hyaloperonospora parasitica which causes cabbage downy mildew, providing a resource for analysising the infection mechanisms.
