Investigation of the magnetic order in alloyed Ho layers and multilayers

Holmium layers host a conical magnetic order at low temperature. However, magnetisation data show that this magnetic order is destabilised when Ho is alloyed with Lu (which is non-magnetic) or Tb (which is ferromagnetic at low T). We want to investigate if the conical order survives in these layers by looking for the corresponding magnetic reflection, and establish its temperature dependence. These alloys are interesting for superconducting spin valves.
