Fecal material was obtained from 10 healthy adults before and during intake of resistant starch type 2(RS2). Eight samples were obtained from each subject (before intake: four, during intake: four) and 16S rDNA V1-V2 amplicon sequencing was performed. The aim was to understand response of gut microbiota to RS2, focusing on bacteria which colonize onto RS2 granules.
