Multipotent mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the ability to differentiate into osteoblasts. The expression of ZBTB16 increased during osteoblastic differentiation. Knockdown of ZBTB16 impaired osteoblastic differentiation. ZBTB16 regulates osteoblastic differentiation in MSCs as the downstream of Osterix.
