Slocum glider deployed by the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) in the Perth Canyon in February 2014 (Glider090_PC14)

This dataset represents Slocum glider data collected by Glider090 deployed in the Perth Canyon, during a combined ocean glider deployment in conjunction with the IMOS ocean glider facility, in February - March 2014. The joint deployment aimed to provide field data for validating numerical models in the region including: BLUElink, Sparse Hydrodynamic Ocean Code (SHOC) and Regional Ocean Modelling System (ROMS). Slocum glider data from the oceans around Australia have been collected by DSTO on an ongoing basis. The data are obtained from an onboard suite of instruments which currently is a Seabird-SBE41 CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) only. The variables in this dataset are water temperature, conductivity and salinity.
