The GrassLandscape project aimed to detect genomic markers of climatic adaptation in the natural diversity of perennial ryegrass by combining Landscape genomics analyses, a phylogeographic reconstruction and Genome-Wide Association Studies of phenotypic traits. Results will be used to set up strategies (assisted migration, breeding) for a regional adaptation of the diversity of this grassland species to the foreseen anthropogenic climate change throughout Europe. This part of the study was dedicated to validating the quantitative nature of the Pool-Seq method for Genotyping-by-Sequencing (GBS) and highly multiplex amplicon sequencing (HiPlex).
