Tanzania (2010): Market Penetration for Salama Regular, Salama Studs, Salama 3 Bomba, Familia, Care and other Non – PSI condoms in High Risk Areas of Tanzania
收藏资源简介:
PSI/Tanzania intends to use project MAP – Markert Penetration in high risk areas to: • Assess the availability of marketed condoms in each of the country’s five zones, for Salama,Salama Studs and Salama 3 Bomba condoms and how has this changed over time since 2006 to 2010 • Continuously monitor access to condoms in high-risk areas (hotzones). Specific research objectives are the following: • Monitor the market penetration of each of PSI/Tanzania’s social marketed condoms in high risk areas; Salama regular, Salama Studs, Salama 3 Bomba, Familia and Care cond oms. • Monitor access of target groups to condoms in hotzones. • Compare the PSI markert penetration of condoms vs. non PSI condoms in selected hotzones. • For condoms, in order to measure access among target groups and market penetration in high-risk areas, a hotzone unit of analysis will be employed – the ‘hotzone’. A hotzone will be defined as a cluster of high-risk meeting places with contiguous catchments. The outer perimeter of a hotzone will ultimately be defined d uring the data collection process for areas that were not visited during the first round of MAP, of those areas (hotzones) that were visited during the first round same perimeters would be used during this round of MAP. The main hotspot types include bars, lodges/motels/rest-houses, and nightclubs. Hotzones were identified during the first round of MAP and th e list produced since then, however the list is always updated according to updates received from the field.
