Plankton lifeforms to support Marine Strategy Framework Directive indicator PH1/FW5

This dataset is an intermediate data product for use in the Marine Strategy Framework Directive OSPAR Intermediate Assessment for 2017. The dataset consists of lifeform pairs for CPR samples in the North Sea, Celtic Sea, and Bay of Biscay from 1958-2012. The dataset supports the indicators PH1 and FW5. The data are derived from raw data collected by the Continuous Plankton Recorder survey, coordinated by the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (www.sahfos.ac.uk).
