This project attempted to fuse B. juncea (AABB genome) and B. oleracea (CC genome) to produce somatic hybrids (AABBCCCC genome) with doubled genome on one side. By crossing B. juncea to these individuals, we attempted to generate a diverse population of allohexaploid Brassica hybrids (AABBCC genome).
