ITS1 amplicon sequencing of apple root DNA extracts for metabarcoding of the mycobiome

Within the scope of the ORDIAmur project the central experiment 12 included testing of 150 soils for apple replant disease severity by a biotest. DNA extracts of the apple plants used in the biotest were used as template for ITS1 short read amplicon sequencing to identify the fungal and fungal-like endophytes. Primers used: ITS1catta (ACCWGCGGARGGATCATTA) + ITS2ngs (TTYRCKRCGTTCTTCATCG) from Tedersoo and Anslan 2019 and Tedersoo et al. 2018
