The objective of this project was to assess the microbial community structure along the Sheldrake River (Nunavik, Canada) from its lake source to Hudson Bay. The sampling also included an unnamed tributary. Size-fractionated microbial community composition (0.22-3 and >3 micrometres) was determined by high throughput sequencing of the V4 region of the 16S and 18S rRNA and rRNA genes.
