Oblicza wstrętu w polskiej sztuce współczesnej / Facets of Abject in Polish Modern Art

The article is an attempt to reflect upon the presence of abject in Polish modern art. The author looks at abject both in physiological and cultural meaning. Physiological reaction seems to guard cultural boundaries. Art, which causes abject often activates anxiety and fright pulls us out of everydaytranquility and confronts us with thrown away foundation of our subjectivity.
