Transcriptome analysis comparing different euthanasia methods and tissue storage condition in pigs

This study compared the effect of two euthanasia methods, nitrogen anoxia (ANOXIA) and T-61 injection, on gene expression profiles in multiple tissues of male piglets. Additionally, the effect of common tissue storage conditions, such as immersion in RNAlater(RL) and snap freezing in liquid nitrogen (LN2), on gene expression were also analyzed using lexogen quantseq method. With this work, we wanted to highlight the importance of potential variations introduced by these forgotten variables , i.e euthanasia method and storage condition
