Number of renewable energy generating sites in Wales 2003-2019

Wales is home to 56,778 sites generating electricity from renewable sources. Between 2003 and 2019, figures increased by 56,686 sites. The large rise in number of sites can be directly related to the increase in the number of solar photovoltaic sites used privately and commercially. In 2019, there were 55,626 solar PV sites generating electricity in Wales.
