Transcriptional responses of fungi (Rhizopus microsporus host [ATCC5 2813] and non-host [ATCC 11559] isolates) and bacteria (Burkholderia sp B13 ) to interaction with each other at a distance (pre-contact) and during physical contact.

资源简介:
The goal of this study was to identify reciprocal commnication between fungi and bacteria during a mutualistic and antagonistin interaction at two time points. Methods: Host (ATCC 52813) and non-host (ATCC 11559) isolates of R. microsporus were grown alone or in the presence of Burkholderia sp. B13 endobacteria (wb) isolated from the host isolate. Fungal mycelia and bacterial cells were harvested before fungi have contacted bacteria (pre-contact) and when the fungal colony has just begun to come into physical contact with the bacteria (physical contact). Total RNA was extracted, rRNA depleted with RiboZero, and sequenced on the Illumina Hi-Seq 100bp-paired end reads platform
