Better Outcomes through linked Data: Homelessness and Offending, England, 2011-2023: Secure Access

<div><span style="font-style: italic;">Better Outcomes through linked Data: Homelessness and Offending, England, 2011-2023: Secure Access</span> has been produced as a part of the <span style="font-style: italic;">Better Outcomes through Linked Data</span> (BOLD) programme. Each record in the dataset gives information about a single person and their individual housing support and offending (custodial and/or probation) journey. </div><div><br></div><div>As part of BOLD, records have been deidentified and deduplicated, using Ministry of Justice's (MoJ) probabilistic record linkage package, Splink, so that a unique identifier is assigned to all records believed to relate to the same person, allowing for longitudinal analysis and investigation of appearances in different datasets. This aims to improve on data links across government. This opens up the potential to better understand any associations between housing support and offending 'journeys' so that action can be taken to reduce the risk of poor housing outcomes and of reoffending.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span></div><div><br></div>
