Interview and focus group quotes: Understanding the current landscape of alternative publishing platforms

This dataset was created using the Method documented at https://doi.org/10.57874/dhxr-pr20. Transcripts from interviews and focus groups were segmented into quotes from participants on a discrete topic by a human researcher. As described in the Method, thematic coding was undertaken with support from generative artificial intelligence tools. The AI-generated themes and patterns were subject to expert human validation and iterative refinement by our research team.
