Single-nuclear gene expression profiles of cells of human myocardial tissue obtained after heart transplantation.

We used single-nuclear RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) to analyze the diversity of cells in human myocardium and to compare cell types between patients with chronic rejection (cardiac allograft vasculopathy; CAV) and those without. Overall design: Human myocardial tissue was obtained by endomyocardial biopsy (at the time of right heart catheterization) for post-transplant patients without CAV. Human myocardial tissue from patients with severe CAV was obtained at the time of re-do heart transplantation.
