U.S. electricity imports from Mexico 2000-2022

The United States imported approximately 4.8 terawatt-hours of electricity from Mexico in 2022. Electricity imports from Mexico have increased significantly since the beginning of the decade, when they averaged below two terawatt-hours per year. Annual electricity imports in the U.S. were around 57 terawatt-hours in 2022.
