A Transcriptome analysis: The effect of Complement C3a on the testes of SD rats which infected Toxoplasma gondii PRU strain

Toxoplasma gondii (T.gondii) is a ubiquitous, obligate intracellular protozoan parasite affecting the human-beings and animals. Acute for of T.gondii type II strains infection is rare and it is usually appears as a chronic infection with subclinical symptoms that may results in adverse pregnancy outcome or male reproductive disorders. T.gondii-associated Complement C3a is not only an anaphylatoxin, which promotes inflammatory response, but also affects many tissues of the body and their blood-tissue barriers. Two groups of SD rats were subjected to an experimental infection with T.gondii type II strain Prugniaud including C3a and control groups. And we investigate the effect of T.gondii infection on the expression level of testes-related genes using RNA sequencing .
