Bombyx mori is a monophagus silk producing lepidopteran. Silk is an important fiber in textiles and medicine. The posterior silk gland produces the major silk protein fibroin. Nuclear matrix RNA was isolated and sequenced from the 5th instar day 5 posterior silk gland of Bombyx mori to study their concurrence in the silk protein regulatory mechanisms.
