Dataset of publications on aviation emergency medicine (Scopus, December 2025)

This dataset contains a list of articles on aviation emergency medicine published in Scopus-indexed journals.
To compose the dataset, the Scopus database was searched in December 2025 using a combination of aviation medicine and emergency medicine keywords. No restrictions were imposed on publication date or language. Filters were applied for document type to include articles, reviews, letters, notes, editorials, conference papers, and short surveys. Subject areas were limited to healthcare-related and multidisciplinary. Terms concerning unmanned aerial devices were added to the search strategy as exclusion terms.
The obtained records were manually screened based on article titles and abstracts to select publications discussing flight-related health emergencies or the utilisation of aeromedical resources for managing health emergencies. Papers concerning emergencies at airports, people on the ground affected by air disasters, as well as publications on air rescue or air transportation without an emergency medicine context, were discarded.
Non-English translations of document titles were manually removed.
The resulting dataset contains 3,646 documents, including document titles, abstracts, source titles, years, citation counts, languages of original documents, document types, DOIs, web links, authors, author full names, affiliations, indexed keywords, and author keywords.
