THE PRINCIPLE OF "CRITICAL ADAPTATION": A MECHANISM FOR INTEGRATION OF FOREIGN PEDAGOGICAL EXPERIENCES INTO THE NATIONAL CONTEXT

Abstract. This article scientifically and theoretically substantiates the innovative mechanism for integrating foreign pedagogical experiences into the national education system, namely the principle of “critical adaptation”. The essence of the principle is to abandon the direct copying of foreign models and consciously adapt their successful elements to local cultural, institutional and resource conditions. As part of the study, the experience of eight countries (USA, Finland, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Great Britain, Turkey, Uzbekistan) was subjected to a comparative and typological analysis according to 7 criteria, and the possibilities of adapting the experience of each country for higher education in Uzbekistan were identified.
