VPRS 11407 General Subject Correspondence Files: Annual Single Number System

This series comprises general subject correspondence files created by the Department of Education, Office of the Secretary, from 1995 - continuing (as at time of transfer in November 1997). Series was created by the Higher Education Branch, the External Relations Branch and from 1997 the Cross Sectoral Programs and Multimedia Branch. The series documents the planning, administration, development and co-ordination of the provision of higher education in Victoria (Higher Education Branch), relations between State and Commonwealth re education (External Relations Branch) and the promotion of vocational education in multimedia (Cross Sectoral Programs and Multimedia Branch).The files contain inward correspondence and copies of outward correspondence relating to all functions undertaken by the Higher Education Branch, External Relations Branch and from 1997 the Cross Sectoral Programs and Multimedia Branch. The files also contain briefing notes, reports, internal memoranda, minutes of meetings, performance and financial plans.
