Maternal healthcare quality

The collected data encompassed socioeconomic characteristics, prenatal care service quality, and maternal satisfaction with hospital care services. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of prenatal care and maternal satisfaction with hospital services among mothers of children under six months old in Qazvin Province, Iran. The findings can inform health administrators and policymakers in designing targeted interventions to enhance maternal care quality from pregnancy through childbirth. Furthermore, the results provide valuable insights for healthcare professionals—including health management researchers, hospital specialists, obstetricians, and health/hospital administrators—to improve service delivery during pregnancy and delivery. A key strength of this study lies in its integration of data from both the health sector (prenatal care) and the treatment sector (hospital childbirth). Using a multistage cluster sampling approach, twelve trained research assistants collected data from 843 mothers of infants aged under 6 months in Qazvin Province between July and September 2024. All participants completed the study questionnaires via self-administered online surveys.
