资源简介:
This repository hosts the supporting information for the manuscript "The Origins of Africa's Upper Mantle Discontinuities". The files contain the dataset generated and interpreted in the study.
S2: Summary Statistics of Upper Mantle Discontinuities
S3: Receiver functions for 74 stations highlighted in the study
S4: Low-quality receiver functions for 430 stations
S5: Thermal Evaluations
S6: EAGBS evaluation (Omega EAGBS)

*Columns in S3 and S4 :
Most column headers are explicit. In the rest of the document, we provide additional details for some columns.
Adama_vsprofile, RF_AF2022_vs, RF_AF2022_dp: Velocity models for the crust and mantle used in the study. The shear velocity model Af2022 was used to convert the receiver functions to depth. The crustal model ADAMA was used to compute the mask filter in CRISP-RF
Waveformkept: These columns contain the number of waveforms used in the receiver function stacks.
Raw_RF_UMD: the stacked ET-MTC (Extended Time Multi Taper Correlation) receiver functions focused on the time-interval 6 to 31 seconds after the direct P signal. Each receiver function is 25 seconds long, with 1001 sampled points.
Fista_RF_UMD: These columns show the filtered receiver function focused on the time interval above.
f: The average number of traces per bin
K: The epicentral distance coverage ratio
Kf: The product of K and f
RF_pol_N_unmodified: The negative component of the stacked receiver functions
RF_pol_P_unmodified: The positive component of the stacked receiver functions
