This table presents the results of a Systematic Mapping Study (SMS) focused on identifying and characterizing low-fidelity prototyping tools in terms of their functionalities, limitations, and applicability. The study reviewed 1493 publications retrieved from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and ScienceDirect, from which 37 studies were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 22 tools were identified, with Figma, Balsamiq, and PowerPoint being the most frequently cited. The table summarizes key findings, including the limited integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, reduced functionality in tools dedicated solely to low-fidelity prototyping, and the lack of structured design guidelines, which often leaves quality assurance to the discretion of software professionals.
