资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignoulle and oceanic ammonia made by Marc Elskens during the Belgica 9919C research cruise on the Iberian Slope in the North-East Atlantic, as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and the Ocean Margins EXchange (OMEX) programmes. The cruise began on 14th September 1999 and ended on 18th September 1999 with a spatial coverage of +42N to +43N latitude and +9W to +10W longitude.
The data consists of:
-65 measurements of partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity;
-65 measurements of concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity; and
-6 measurements of concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by manual colorimetric analysis.
See below for further details.
