Bioaugmentation could improve organic matter degradation and reduce gas emissions in green waste composting, while inoculation method affected the efficiency. The present study investigated five different inoculation method of the same microbes for green waste composting, whose details were the control treatment (CK), multi-stage inoculation (T1), initial-stage inoculation (T2), single-stage inoculation after the thermophilic stage (T3), and single-stage inoculation during the cooling stage (T4). The effect of inoculation methods on physical and chemical properties, pollution gases emission, humification process and microbial community dynamics were compared.
