Media coverage on shale gas in China Energy News (2009-2022)

The research data were retrieved from the China Core Newspaper Full Text Database (CNFD), a component of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) that archives articles from major Chinese newspapers. The keyword "shale gas" was used to filter articles by theme, resulting in a total of 460 articles that were publised in China Energy News, including news reports, commentaries, and interviews, which constitute the research corpus.
