We used RNA-seq to characterise the transcriptomic response in the root tips of raspberry cvs. Latham (resistant) and cv. Glen Moy (susceptible) to infection by Phytophthora rubi. Eight-week-old healthy Glen Moy and Latham raspberry plants were removed from their pots and transferred to Erlenmeyer flasks containing water, with or without P. rubi inoculum. After 7dpi, the root tips of three independent biological samples were collected. Differential expression analysis identified, amongst many, genes related to auxin response, binding, transport and signalling.
