2023年の世界のアート市場の美術品販売額は、前年比4パーセント減の約650億米ドルでした。同年、世界の美術品・骨董品オークションの売上高は約250億米ドルにのぼり、世界のアート販売額の4割近くに達しました。 
世界の主要なアート市場 
国別にみると、2023年時点で最大の市場シェアを占めたのは米国で、世界の美術品販売額の4割を超えました。2位以下は中国、英国、フランスとなっています。

The total sales value of artworks in the global art market in 2023 was approximately 65 billion US dollars, a 4% decrease from the previous year. In the same year, the total revenue from global art and antiques auctions reached about 25 billion US dollars, accounting for nearly 40% of the global art sales.
Major Global Art Markets
When looking at the countries individually, the United States held the largest market share at the end of 2023, exceeding 40% of the global art sales. The United Kingdom, China, and France followed in the rankings.
