All the obtained data were regrouped in Table 1, which summarizes the 1938 larvae collected from a total of 25 crosses over three summers (2016, 2018 and 2019). The objective of the present study is to investigate the effect of environmental conditions on sex determination of M. edulis. To address this objective, artificial fertilizations were performed on individuals collected in three different years and their embryos and larvae were reared at three different temperatures to specifically test if the environment influence offspring sex ratio through effects on parental developing gametes and/or on developing embryos.
