Uncultured Mediterranean Phage Metagenomics. uncultured Mediterranean phage uvMED

DNA was extracted from seawater originating from the Mediterranean Deep Chlorophyll Maximum near Alicante, Spain. Seawater was filtered through a series of polycarbonate filters and metagenomic DNA was extracted from the 0.2 micron filter. A fosmid library was created from this metagenomic DNA. DNA was extracted from the fosmids, and pooled together in several batches and the entire batch was sequenced as a pool. The resulting sequences from each batch were assembled. This is a metagenomic assembly of batches of fosmids that were pooled together, sequenced and assembled. This project only contains sequences that are of viral origin.
