Datasets created within the study "Early detection of bark beetles by drone images differs in endemic and epidemic populations". The aim of the research is to compare the appearance and the detectability of early symptoms in endemic and epidemic bark beetle populations using high-resolution UAV multispectral imagery. <br>Results showed that it was possible to separate the spectral signal of recently infested and unattacked trees during the final developmental stage of the first beetles’ generation, despite the limitations due to the difficulties in imagery processing over large areas. Key performing vegetation indices included NDRE (Normalized Difference Red Edge index) and GNDVI (Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index).<br><br>The datasets include: the mean values of the vegetational indices calculated for every identified tree; the tree condition (class: 1 - infested, 0 - healthy or other), the survey dates (date: 1 to 5), the experimental site identity (site: 1 to 6), the trees identity (ID, as described in the Materials and Methods section of the study).
