资源简介:
This dataset provides trap information from two capture efforts targeting invasive Argentine black and white tegus (Salvator merianae) with or without the use of bait baskets in the Greater Everglades Ecosystem of Florida. In the southeastern United States, metal‑mesh bait baskets are used to protect chicken egg lures in traps targeting invasive Argentine black and white tegus (Salvator merianae). Using data from a multi‑year trapping program and a crossover experiment near Everglades National Park, we evaluated whether bait baskets influence tegu or nontarget captures, trap disturbance, or rebaiting needs. The crossover design strengthened inference by allowing each trap to serve as its own control, reducing variability and improving detection of treatment effects. The dataset includes two files: one with multi‑year trapping records and one with crossover experiment results.
